What Is A Normal Weight? My 10 Year Weight Loss Success Story
According to Dr. Joel Fuhrman, what is considered too thin for most Americans is actually what’s considered normal weight. Too many overweight Americans make what looks like normal weight look too skinny in comparison.
I never give my weight any thought. After having lost 150+ pounds over 10 years ago, I just maintain. I stay the same consitent weight, I love the plant based foods I eat and I have no interest in going back to my old habits.
Someone at the gym said he remembered how big I was and I was getting borderline on the too thin side. I proceeded to weigh myself. I am 195 pounds, the same weight I have been for years. My BMI is considered normal at 24.4.
I go in different phases with muscle building and that will be my next goal. But I don't want to get super big either, just more definition. I am happy with my weight and comfortable in my own skin. I have tons of energy, get 10K steps every day.
The health benefits are awesome too. My blood pressure averages 110/70. Not bad for someone who was threatened with blood pressure medication 10 years ago!
