Crazy Busy… But It's Worth It!

My challenges are about half way through. You might recall that I'm in a challenge in the Torrington YMCA, doing the Fit Commitment Challenge and a stepping challenge in Bridgeport with co-workers. I walk and exercise everyday, but it's all the extra things to keep track of that are overwhelming!

The challenge in Torrington is definitely the most time consuming as it requires weekly challenges, different tasks we must do each week to receive points. This week, I've had to swim 5 laps and walk on the treadmill for a half an hour. I did the treadmill easily, but I'm not much of a swimmer so I struggled with that one; anyway, I completed the laps!

At least with the Bridgeport challenge, I'm already getting the steps in for the Torrington challenge. It's not like I'm doing twice the work.

In addition, I still have a few more classes of personal training to do in order to get my certification. It's so much to learn and I have to do a lot of studying. The good thing about the class is it's helping me work out even better. I can see mistakes I've made and how to correct them. I can also see other's mistakes when they have incorrect form when they're working out.

i have to give a shout out to Janet Perusse, my team mate in Torrington, as she's doing awesome. She's down 10 pounds so far, and we're only 4 weeks into it. My goal isn't weight loss, so I certainly don't want to drop that kind of weight! My team is Bridgeport is also doing well. I haven't seen how we rank with the other teams, but I'm sure we're near the top.

I better get back to studying… so much to learn before the exam! Check out this funny clip featuring Terry Crews.
