And Won We Did!

b2ap3_thumbnail_IMG_0804.JPG"And Won!" was our team name from the beginning of the challenge and we had that goal in mind. My teammate Janet Perusse and I won the Northwest CT Fitness Commitment Challenge! It was a long battle this fall, but we came out on top!

Janet really worked hard and lost an incredible 16 pounds during the challenge. Of course, my goal wasn't about weight loss but rather to lower my body fat percentage. We both reached our goals!

I couldn't have asked for a better teammate. Janet faithfully went to the Y, did classes, worked out on the treadmill for what seemed like hours at a time. While I was focusing on strength training, Janet pushed herself doing both cardio and the weight machines.

I'd like to congratulate everyone in the fit commitment challenge. I know the other teams were amazing too. My friend Marilyn, who blogged a while ago on here about her amazing weight loss, was in the challenge as well. Marilyn said her clothes fit better and her waist size went down.

For anyone looking to improve their weight or body fat percentage, I highly recommend the Fit Commitment Challenge. It's a lot of work, but it's worth it!

I still have to hear how my team at work did in the Bridgeport challenge. I should find out sometime this week.
