I Must Be Crazy… Another Challenge!
I just finished the United Walk-A-Thon challenge last month and now I'm in another one. This time, it's the Greater Waterbury YMCA's Ironman Triathalon challenge. My friend at work must be right, I guess I'm obsessed with competitions.
This challenge is more about accountability. It's making sure that everybody is exercising. I'm already using the treadmill 5 days a week, why not just keep track of it for the Y? It will be fun to see how much I actually do at the end of the challenge.
The challenge is only a month long so it's nothing too stressful. It's nice because it got me to focus on other exercises beside the treadmill. Biking and swimming are requirements in this challenge. I haven't swam in so long, I hope I remember how to do it!
I still don't know the results yet of the United Walk-A-Thon challenge in Bridgeport. As soon as I find out, I'll let you know. I know my workplace didn't win, but I'd like to see how I did individually.
This is the fifth challenge I'm participating in. I was in two challenges at the Torrington YMCA and two United Healthcare challenges in Bridgeport. It will be nice to see how I do with my peers in Waterbury!
