Push-Up Challenge Is Tough But Getting Results!
The push-up challenge I'm doing is helping me a lot. Not only have my push-ups improved, but I'm noticing how much stronger my triceps have become. This challenge has been a great opportunity to improve something that I was never able to do for years, the dreaded push-up.
I'm amazed when I think of how far I came since college. I never could do push-ups and I remember people laughing at me that I couldn't do them. I just had no strength in my arms back then.
Now, all the months of strength training and modified push-ups helped me learn how to do them properly. I no longer need to do them modified. People should never be afraid to do them modified... you have to start somewhere. Doing push-ups against a wall is another good way to learn how to do them.
My goal is 50 push-ups by the end of the month. So far, I'm up to 38 of them. I still can't do them all in a row. I did 3 different sets to get to 38. The last set I did with my feet elevated. I try to change it up so that it doesn't get boring. It's good to change up the workout routine so the body doesn't get used to the same workout all the time.
Here's some pictures of what I hope will show some progress in my arms. I do think they are showing a lot more definition now. I'll keep you posted as I get closer to my goal of 50 push-ups!
