Learning From T. Colin Campbell!

Ever since I lost weight, my mission has always been about health. I studied nutritional studies online, read many books by Dr. Greger, Dr. Fuhrman, and Dr. Campbell, among others. Each author mentioned had a big impact on the healthy way I eat today and all deserve credit in helping me lose and keep off 150 pounds.

My obsession with nutrition has made me contemplate going back to school to study nutrition. I'm not sure I want to do this as I know I won't agree with some of the nutrition courses as many of them more than likely won't acknowledge the benefits of a plant based diet. I'm sure that some of them will be biased toward animal products. I don't want to make such an investment if I don't think I'll get much out of it.

That's why I'm so excited about T. Colin Campbell's online nutrition course. I recently enrolled and am on my way to getting a certificate in plant based nutrition from eCornell! So far, I've completed the first section and I've learned so much already.

For those of you who don't know about T. Colin Campbell, he's like the godfather of plant based nutrition. He is the first doctor to prove scientifically that excessive animal protein can possibly cause cancer. He is also the author of The China Study a top selling book detailing his research.

I have a lot of respect for Dr. Campbell. He is a true pioneer... no one wanted to hear about his research but he kept going. Many people have tried to debunk his studies but so far no one has been able to successfully do it. He is a fighter and keeps spreading the word about his findings and I do admire him a lot.

I am learning from the best and now I can say I'll have a certificate to back my knowledge... not just research from the internet. I have about another month to go with the course but it's going great!

By the way, here's a picture of when I met Dr. Campbell a while back, at a conference in New York. He also signed my book!
