In this installment of my series The real reasons diets fail let's explore how celebrating too much puts you in a weak position to fend off the constant temptations to eat poorly.

Do you ever feel like there are always activities going on at home or in the office where you are offered that cookie, cake, pizza, candy, doughnut, pie, cake, brownie, cake, holiday feast, cake, birthday party, cake... I think you get my point.  How can you resist!

Loose Skin After Weightloss

I wrote about wanting to tighten my loose skin after all the weight loss a while back. I just thought I would follow up the story as I'm still dealing with the issue.

The problem is that my belly was stretched for so long with all the extra weight, it's taking it's time to go back down. There's no fat in there, at least I don't believe there is, but as many formerly obese people will understand, I'm left with hanging skin.

How much Salt Should You Have?

I wanted to revisit the topic of salt. Scott wrote about salt a few months ago and I wanted to respond in detail why I think salt is not good for you when you have too much of it.

I think the amount of sodium corresponds to how much processed food you're eating. I think most people would agree you should cut down on processed food. Too much of it causes obesity, increased cancer risk, diabetes, etc. So if you're not having processed foods, it would be difficult to go over the recommended amount of salt intake anyway.

Kids definition:
selfish desire for food, money, or possessions over and above one's needs
