PCRM Exam Room Podcast Live In New York

On Wednesday, July 12, I had the awesome experience of attending the Exam Room podcast live for it's taping while they were in New York City. It was so much fun, and a great opportunity to talk with my plant based peers. I went with my friend Sherri and we both had a blast talking with the podcast host Chuck Carroll, Dr. Neal Barnard, Dr. Michelle McMacken, Dr. Robert Ostfeldt and Rip Esselstyn of PlantStrong.

I haven’t been to many gatherings since COVID, so it was so nice to be out there and without masks once again. The food was awesome too, especially the dessert. All vegan of course!

Eating Healthy Without Even Knowing It

Recently, I made some black bean brownies at work. This was from a recipe I got from the Physician’s Committee For Responsible Medicine website. I had heard Chuck Carroll, host of one of my favorite podcasts, Exam Room, brag how good these were and thought they would be perfect for work. I typically make some kind of holiday dessert for work each holiday season.

They were really easy to make. The only thing I substituted was the raspberry jam, as I only had a guava jelly available. The guava jelly was unsweetened. I quickly mixed the ingredients, baked them in the oven and had everything done and cleaned up within an hour. I don’t waste any time!
