The Workouts Are Challenging!
I had a personal training session today and my trainer changed my workout routine. It's not good to stay with the same workouts over and over, so my trainer mixes it up every month or so.
What a grueling workout it is this time. I'm up for the challenge!
The workout consists of three groups of exercises. The first group includes air squats, pull ups and pushups. The challenging part about this workout is that the trainer wants me to do as many as I can until I can't do anymore. Usually, I have a set number to do. I have to do each exercise three sets. This is a great exercise to get the heart rate going!
The next group of exercises uses the TRX bands. I do like this kind of workout as I only have to use my body weight. I need to perform thee sets each of air squats, rows and pushups. This was a new kind of exercise for me… pushups with the TRX bands. It's a lot more challenging to me than the traditional pushups.
Finally, I finish up my workout session with dumbbells. First, I do thrusters (a new exercise to me), chest press and rows, each having 6 reps.
I know I'm getting stronger, but it is tiring! Between the personal training course, the workouts and my job, I'm keeping busy. But, I'm sure it will be worth it, as my arms are stronger and hopefully my abs are as well!
