Working desk jobs for most of my life, I had grown accustomed to quick fixes for food on the run. I never made time to eat properly or look after my health and well being. Now 60 lbs overweight, I am making adjustments to my life to shed the pounds and live a more healthy lifestyle.

My motivation to lose weight: Dickydo Disorder

Everyone who is obese or overweight has "the moment of clarity" when they become aware of the need to kickstart their weight loss. I'm talking about the event or observation that happens in life that makes one start to contemplate their health, issues that arise from being overweight and why they want to lose the weight.

While visiting a movie theater, where my disorder, one that affects all overweight men, reared its ugly head and offered up my moment of clarity.

Week 2 Weight Loss Update: Everything is good

Everything is still moving along well. I have yet to strictly follow my plan, yet I am still losing weight. I am down an additional 1.5lbs. 

As you can see the site has been going through a lot of changes. I will post a more thorough update of what is yet to come tomorrow.

Week 1 Weight Loss Update: Cha cha cha chia!

Do you remember these?  Popularity for Chia pets was growing all over the place when I grew up. (every pun intended)

You just spread some seeds on your clay figure, add water and poof!  Would you ever think you could eat those things? You might be surprised of the overwhelming benefits!

Mmmmm... Turkey... The final hurrah.

Today marks the day of my final hurrah with a wonderful Easter feast.  Tomorrow I will be cutting the crap out of my diet and moving forward to lose some 90+ pounds. My approach is a simple one based on a very easy to follow diet plan.
